Spartans Sign Core Strength Fitness as Sponsor
The Sunshine Coast Spartans have today secured a sponsorship with Core Strength Fitness. The Spartans will now be conducting its preseason training at the gym under Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Matthew Bousson. Coach Bousson has spent the last eight years developing his skills and knowledge in the fields of Exercise Science, Strength & Conditioning and Elite Sports Performance.
Matt completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Sport & Exercise Science from the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC). Upon completion of his Bachelor Degree, Matthew completed his Honours Degree in Human Movement & Injury Prevention. During his undergraduate degree, he was awarded an internship at the prestigious Stanford University in California. His internship experience was completed under the tutelage of Shannon Turley (Director of Stanford Football Sports Performance and 2-time Strength Coach of the Year Award recipient), Hans Straub (Director of Olympic Sports Performance) and Scott Sacuskie (Assistant Stanford Football Sports Performance Coach and Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for Stanford Wrestling).
On top of working with Stanford University, Coach Bousson has worked with other elite level teams including University of South Florida (D1 NCAA College Football – Coordinator of Rehabilitation and Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach) and the Brisbane Broncos (National Rugby League). The Spartans are very pleased to welcome Coach Bousson and his team from Core Strength Fitness and are excited to begin preseason training this coming Monday, 10th April.
