Defence will be the key to success.
As with all Rhino’s football, the run game is dominant, and the new Women’s team have been quick to insert the run into their game plan. After starting their own season 1-2, the Rhinos are being considered as playoff favourites. After a few personnel shifts on defence over the break, the girls are motivated, energised and looking to come out firing on Saturday, looking for their first win for the season.
With Coach Ebdon joining the coaching staff, he’s brought a new and improved offense with him. Having played with the QLD Sun Devils and Australian Outback Development Squads, Coach Ebdon brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. Coach Ebdon has worked extensively with the offense over the two-week break, bringing the best out of his players.
Rookies’ time to shine
With a young and up and coming team, Coach Collins and Coach Edbon sure have had their work cut out for them to get the girls ready for game day. With more than 50 percent of the team consisting of new players this season, the rookies have set high expectations on the team’s performance this season and are ready to show the league they are ready to play some fast paced, hard hitting Spartan football!
Kick-off is 1:30pm this Saturday at Bill Norris Oval, Beenleigh. Gates open at 10am.
